Angela Palmer

Angela joined the Fine Arts and Communications team in 2022. She is a firm believer in the symbiotic relationship of faith and work that is prevalent on BYU’s campus. Angela has a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from Southern Utah University and a master’s degree in Academic Advising from Kansas State University.

Her philosophy with academic advising is that it can be a positive catalyst for students in their collegiate years where the advisor provides a caring and insightful experience for each individual student as they are encouraged to be critically receptive to changing their life trajectory. She hopes that each student feels that they matter and that they have someone rooting for them to succeed not only in their academic life but also in their life outside of school because academics is affected by multiple facets of life. It is her desire that each student walks away from each meeting empowered with insight and injected with hope that they can succeed in their academic career.

Through Angela’s experience of living in Tucson, AZ and Casper, WY, she has gained an appreciation for these cultures and climates especially in the outdoors. She particularly loves mountain trails, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
